Education determines the culture of any country. The church was the first to recognize this and put it into practice. The unique contributions that the Church has made in the field of education are controlling the dynamics of the world today. St Mary’s Higher Secondary School Pattom has 81 years of experience and excellence in the field of education along with molding the careers of lakhs and lakhs of students with depth and integrity. The credit goes to our late Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios, a great visionary and academician who started this school in 1940 with a clear cut vision. Our school has bagged the heights of glory with the great support and inspiration from Late Archbishop Mar Gregorios and Moran Mor Cyril Baselious with their fortitude and determination and with the great support and guidance from our present patron Moran Mor Baselious Cardinal Cleemis. Education is a passport to future. For tomorrow belongs to people who prepare for it today. Children must be taught how to think, not what to think. And this is what we are doing here with a great army of meticulous teachers and mentors. Today, we live in a precariously poised world which is full of fear and uncertainties. So our fundamental goal of education is to make them study well, behave well and to take the best decisions in their life. The immense support and dedication from our teachers and parents makes our school par excellent.
